Joe Hart was the first England player up in today’s press conference and made sure to pass on his condolences to Jermain Defoe, whose father died overnight. "It was a tough one to hear this morning," said the Manchester City FC goalkeeper. "Jermain needs a bit of time and we'll let him do what he needs and he can join us."
The positive news from the camp was that all 23 players trained in full. "John Terry was flying around
like he always does. You read and hear a lot about Scott Parker but if you actually ask the guy, he's fine."
As for England's base in Poland, Hart said: "Krakow is visually very pretty. The locals have been great. The Irish fans have been good, too. I'm sure the England fans will be."

Šime Vrsaljko has been called up as a replacement. "He should be here with us this evening," said the coach. "I am sorry about Iličević. We have lost another important player who is different to most of our team."

At 33, Dennis Rommedahl still feels fit to play for many years to come, as he told UEFA.com at training. "I'll play for another eight to nine years if everything works out but realistically… maybe three to four years,” the right winger said. The Brøndby IF player is 13 appearances shy of Peter Schmeichel's Danish record of 129 caps, though he is already top of the rankings in terms of outfield players. Interestingly, all 116 of his appearances came under current coach Morten Olsen.
